Beer Sectoral Group is an advocate of beverage alcohol (18+) and on the mission to develop the beer industry by encouraging sound professional practice among members and building understanding of stakeholders by promoting responsible drinking in the society.
Our history dates back to 1971 when Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN), our parent body, was established. MAN is a forum for the private sector to formulate and articulate policy suggestions that could complement Government’s efforts at policy formulation. Essentially, the BSG Board is made up of the chief executives of the leading beverage alcohol companies in Nigeria and is responsible for policy formulation and oversight of our Group operations.
The essence of the declaration of the commitment of leading global brewers from 2013 is to improve health and social outcomes for individuals, families and communities, as well as pre-empt harm among the above components of society through the responsible operations of the member brewers.
