The Beer Sectoral Group had the honour of engaging with the Honourable Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment; Senator John Owan Enoh, in a strategic dialogue on Nigeria’s proposed 2026–2028 excise duty framework and the long-term sustainability of the brewing industry.
We had policy and tax experts from PwC Nigeria join us in our discussions focused on balanced fiscal measures, regulatory efficiency, and protecting jobs across the value chain. We shared data-driven insights on how excise structures, traceability systems, and broader regulatory policies impact investment, employment, and industrial growth.
We appreciate the Minister’s openness to constructive engagement and his emphasis on balancing national revenue goals with industrial sustainability.
At BSG, we remain committed to responsible industry practices, collaborative policymaking, and supporting initiatives that strengthen local manufacturing and economic development.
